SENIOR SECTOR SUPERVISOR

POSITION OPEN TO CURRENT LUKE EMPLOYEES ONLY

SITE OF SERVICE:

• U.S. Customs & Border Protection – San Diego Sector
• Full-time, salaried position
  • Salary Range: $46,800 – $49,000
• Schedule will be provided by the Program Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Sector Supervisor will be responsible for leading and managing daily operations within an assigned sector. This role is an essential part of LUKE’s team as it will provide oversight and guidance to supervisors & staff, ensuring operations run smoothly within the sector.

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years’ experience in management and leadership
• Demonstrated proficiency in using technology (Computer, Tablets & iPads)
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills – ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish.
• Must be able to work in a constantly changing fast paced environment.

CORE DUTIES/ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

• Oversees daily operations independently or jointly of all sites, and shifts within the sector.
• Executes revolving schedules on post assignments on a daily and weekly basis.
• Create and manage team schedules.
• Monitors and evaluates staffing operations and workflow.
• Monitors and documenting time and attendance.
• Executes required reporting.
• Report to Human Resources Department and senior management.
• Evaluate performance and provide feedback.
• When required during unexpected absence, shift turnovers or other periods as necessary, Senior Sector Supervisors shall aid and perform the duties of a shift supervisor or caregiver until the position(s) can be filled by additional staff.
• When requested by the Program Manager (PM), assists in developing strategies, plans or procedures.
• Provides effective leadership for all employees by establishing open communication, mentoring, training, coaching, disciplinary actions and articulating clearly defined goals and objectives.
• Enforces established policies, procedures and programs.
• Maintains constant and professional communication with Border Patrol and other government staff on site.
• Reviews, interprets and develops work orders to ensure facility safety, security, and maintenance.
• Compiles reports and metrics to discuss opportunities for improvements and design implementation strategies for a rollout with Leadership team.
• Maintains operational records.
• Train, develop and manage staff including new hires.
• Travel in between sites as needed.
• Performs other duties and participates in special projects.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS

Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice work assignments and create a new workflow for the staff within the facility. Flexible and able to work with various personalities and contractors within the facility. Teamwork skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
