Pharmacist
SITE OF SERVICE: US Army Ft Bliss, El Paso, TX.
POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree: Graduated from a College of Pharmacy that is acceptable to the Surgeon General of the Army.
- License: Possess a current, unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in any one of the United States of America, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- Experience: Pharmacist must possess a minimum of two years post graduate experience in a retail or hospital setting within the last three years.
- Cardiac Certification(s): Have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. The American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers is the only program accepted.
- U.S. Citizenship: HCWs performing under this contract shall be U.S. citizens.
- Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate.
- Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required under the contract.
CORE DUTIES:
- A projected volume of incoming personnel to be processed as well as anticipated dates/times of arrival shall be made available to the Contractor by the facility’s MEDCOM Liaison.
- Projections are tentative and may be adjusted due to mobilization/demobilization requirements as directed by the installation and/or medical facility.
- Schedule changes required by higher headquarters, installation, and medical facility to ensure mission completion shall not be the basis for any change or modification to the cost of this contract.
- Workload will be projected and commonly be made available a minimum of 48 hours prior to the performance of work.
- The Contractor is expected to have sufficient staff on site to mobilize 30 patients per hour and demobilize 20 per hour until the daily mission is completed.
HOURS:
Routine operational hours are 0700 to 1800
Base Down Days:
During a planned closure of the facility due to training, closures before or after holidays family down days, Employee will only be compensated for the actual hours worked. If clinic is closed and employee is not able to work, employee will be required to use leave or take Leave Without Pay (LWOP) without penalty
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS
Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities. Teamwork skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
