Logos Joins Human Flourishing Partnership to Support Veterans, First Responders, and Service Members Through Local Churches

BELLINGHAM, WA — Today, Logos announces it has joined in a transformative partnership with LUKE, a trusted leader in healthcare staffing for the US government, and the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC). United by a shared calling to serve those who serve our nation, they are launching a human flourishing initiative to certify and equip faith-informed coaches to deliver upstream care for veterans, first responders, law enforcement, service members, and their families—meeting them where they live, work, and worship.

In response to the growing national mental health crisis and the increasing strain on clinical systems, this training and certification program introduces a highly scalable model grounded in spiritual resilience and personal responsibility. These trained coaches will bridge the gap between pastoral care and clinical treatment, helping to reduce stigma, build trust, and refer individuals into professional care when appropriate.

“Pastors and ministers have long been on the front lines of healing for those affected by trauma, offering truth, restoration, and gospel-centered care,” said Bill McCarthy, CEO of Logos. “This program for advancing human flourishing supports church leaders as they continue this work—saving lives and placing the church at the center of the national healing conversation.”

This mission-aligned framework invites churches across the country into national service—commissioning lay leaders, ministry staff, and community members to become certified behavioral health coaches. Developed in collaboration with the American Association of Christian Counselors and leading scholars, the training program integrates the latest in trauma-informed care with deep spiritual wisdom.

The initiative is launching in alignment with National PTSD Awareness Day, highlighting the urgent need to support the mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing of our nation’s heroes—not only in moments of crisis but every day before and after.

Through this human flourishing initiative, churches can become hubs of healing and transformation, ensuring no service member, veteran, or first responder walks through trauma alone.
