Compliance Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Compliance Specialist to oversee government contract requirements and Joint Commission standards for our quality assurance/compliance department. This role is essential in ensuring our healthcare professionals meet all necessary compliance standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required; Associates degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of clerical/administrative experience in government contracting, auditing, or a medical setting
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), TEAMS, and internet research tools
- Auditing or credentialing experience in a medical field is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, particularly over the phone
- Ability to multitask and follow through on assignments
- Knowledge of Joint Commission Standards preferred
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently
- Proven ability to effectively resolve customer conflicts
- Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Core Duties:
- Enter, update, and maintain records and information
- Assist with annual reviews to meet Joint Commission standards and contract requirements
- Provide general office support, including auditing files and other administrative tasks
- Research data, review various documents, and assist in editing and formatting
- Prepare and run various monthly reports and metrics
- Handle phone calls and direct inquiries as needed
- Communicate with field personnel to ensure accurate and timely documentation and reporting
- Monitor company compliance and effectiveness
- Utilize software to track ongoing projects to completion
- Manage customer service and escalation issues to minimize conflict
Special Requirements/Skills:
- International Organizational for Standardization (ISO) experience Preferred.
- Joint Commission credentialing experience preferred.
- Compliance Risk Management experience, preferred.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, preferred.
- Ability to reprioritize tasks on short notice and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work with diverse personalities
- Strong teamwork and time management skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- High adaptability and willingness to embrace change
