SITE OF SERVICE:
· 88th Medical Group – Wright Patterson AFB, OH 45433

POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:
· Degree: Master's degree in Social Work (MSW).
· Education: Graduate from a School of Social Work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
· Experience: 5 years of experience in mental health setting.
· Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico or US Virgin Islands.
· U.S. Citizenship: HCWs performing under this contract shall be U.S. citizens.
· Certification: Hold current Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart or American Red Cross.
· English Language Requirement: The Contractor shall ensure that all HCWs providing services under this contract are able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate.
· HCW Physical Capability: HCWs shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required under the contract.
REQUIRED TRAINING:
- HCW will attend and complete the formal learning process of the PLAY Project (PLAY and Language for Autistic Youngsters) principles, methods, and techniques to include the 7 Circles of the PLAY Project.
- Training is completed at various PLAY training sites within the United States. Training must be completed with 60 days of start date unless a training date is not available within this time period, if so next available date must be attended and completed.
- The Contractor shall bill and the Government will reimburse for this formal training only – PLAY and Language for Autistic Youngsters to include the 7 Circle of the PLAY Project.
DUTIES:
- Coordinate appropriate referrals to community and other Government agencies for services.
- Independently assess the psychosocial functioning and needs of patients and their family members and formulate and implement a treatment plan, identifying the patient’s problems, strengths, weaknesses, coping skills and assistance needed, in collaboration with the patient, family and interdisciplinary treatment team.
- Independently conduct psychosocial assessments and provide psychosocial treatment to a wide variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, ethnic, educational and other diverse backgrounds.
- Use medical and mental health diagnoses, disabilities and treatment procedures. This includes acute, chronic and traumatic illnesses/injuries, common medications and their effects/side effects, and medical terminology.
- Implement treatment modalities in working with individuals, families and groups who are experiencing a variety of psychiatric, medical and social problems to achieve treatment goals.
- Independently provide counseling and/or psychotherapy services to individuals, groups, couples, and families. Must practice within the bounds of the license or certification.
- Provide consultation services to other staff about the psychosocial needs of patients and the impact of psychosocial problems on health care and compliance with treatment.
- Participate in professional peer review case conferences, research studies, or other organizations required at the MTF.
HOURS:
- Operating hours of 0730-1630; Monday-Friday
- No federal holidays
- No weekends
- HCWs will be given at least 1 week advanced notice for any scheduling modifications.
- Request are managed by the assigned scheduler or the Govt Supervisor.
BASE DOWN DAYS:
· During a planned closure of the facility due to training, closures before or after holidays family down days, Employee will only be compensated for the actual hours worked. If clinic is closed and employee is not able to work, employee will be required to use leave or take LWOP (without penalty).
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS
Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities. Team work skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
