DENTAL HYGIENIST

SITE OF SERVICE

·        Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point, NC

POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:

·        Degree: Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree

·        Education: Successful completion of a dental hygiene program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) of the American Dental Association (ADA).

·        Certification: Certified in radiography as required by 42 CFR Part 75.

·        Experience: shall be required to demonstrate clinical competency one year within the past two years

·        License: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Dental Hygienist.

·        Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

·        U.S. Citizenship: HCWs performing under this contract shall be U.S. citizens.

·        English Language Requirement: The Contractor shall ensure that all HCWs providing services under this contract are able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate.

·        HCW Physical Capability: HCWs shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

·        Must be able to navigate and utilize Corporate Dental Application (CDA)/Corporate Dental System (CDS), i.e. check/review patient schedule, check-in patients, make appointments, pull-up x-rays, Record/Chart daily dental treatment and time involved in patient care and non-patient functions.

OR

·        Must learn how to navigate and utilize Corporate Dental Application (CDA)/Corporate Dental System (CDS) within 90 days of onboarding. The HCW will be expected to check/review patient schedule, check-in patients, make appointments, pull-up x-rays, Record/Chart daily dental treatment and time involved in patient care and non-patient functions.  

HOURS:

·        Services shall be provided between the hours of 0600 and 1800, Monday through Friday.

·        Full-time health care workers (HCWs) shall normally provide services for 40 hours per week.

·        Services are required for a period 8.5 or 9 hours (including a 30 minute or 1 hour uncompensated meal break, depending on shift length).

·        Services are prohibited on Non-Scheduled Workdays. Typically the HCW will work Monday – Thursday for a 9 hour period include a 30 minute uncompensated meal break and Friday for a 6 hour period without any uncompensated meal break.

·        Employees should not be in their place of work earlier than 15 minutes prior to clocking-in at the start of the workday and no later than 15 minutes after clocking out at the end of the scheduled workday.

Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities. Team work skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
