PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

SITE OF SERVICE:

• Naval Health Clinic Oak Harbor, WA
• Full Time Position

POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree: Certificate.
• Education: Graduate from a formal pharmacy technician program accredited by ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
  • The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP)
  • A formal pharmacy technician program (i.e., technical, hospital, or retail-based program) A formal medical services training program of the United States Military.
• Certification: Possess and maintain a current certification and registration by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
• Additional Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) hands on certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience: A minimum of 12 months of full-time experience after completion of a pharmacy technician program.

HOURS:

• Services shall be provided Monday through Friday, between the hours of 0700 and 2000, Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays between the hours of 0700 – 1800. 
• Shifts will normally be scheduled for an 8.5-to-9-hour period, to include an uncompensated 30-to-60-minute lunch break, respectively.
• In no instance will the HCW be required to provide regular services in excess of 80 hours per two-week period.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS

Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities. Teamwork skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
