  • Naval Branch Health Clinic (NBHC) Kings Bay, GA
  • Depending on the clinical workload, the health care workers (HCWs) may be required to provide services in other clinics located within Naval Hospital (NH) Jacksonville and Branch Health Clinics (BHC).


  • Degree: Certificate.
  • Education: Graduate from a medical assistant training program accredited by ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
    • Graduate from a medical assistant training program accredited by Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)
    • Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) of the American Medical Technologists
    • Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC)
    • Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS)
    • Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS)
    • Formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces.
  • Certification: Current certification as a medical assistant by ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
  • American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
  • American Medical Technologists (AMT)
  • American Registry of Medical Assistant (ARMA)
  • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
  • Additional Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) hands-on certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Experience: One year of experience as a Medical Assistant after graduation.
  • U.S. Citizenship: HCWs performing under this contract shall be U.S. citizens.
  • English Language Requirement: The Contractor shall ensure that all HCWs providing services under this contract are able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate.
  • HCW Physical Capability: HCWs shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required.


  • The clinic operating hours are Monday through Wednesday and Friday from 0630 to 1730 and Thursday from 0630 to 1930.
  • Each Healthcare Worker shall provide services on a flexible basis across the clinic operating hours for an 8.5 or 9-hour period, including an uncompensated 30 to 60 minute meal break, respectively.
  • All shifts may be rotated with other CMAs.
  • In no instance will a Healthcare Worker be required to provide services in excess of 80 hours per two-week period.

Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities. Teamwork skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
