SITE OF SERVICE:
· The contractor shall provide personnel for service in support of the Naval Branch Clinic Corry Station, FL
POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:
PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT (PA) QUALIFICATIONS:
· Degree: Bachelor's degree
· Education:
o Graduate from an accredited college or university certified by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education of the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).
· Experience: A minimum of one (1) year full-time experience within the last three (3) years as a PA or FNP in a primary care setting seeing an adult patient population.
· Certificate: Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician’s Assistants (NCCPA).
FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER (FNP) QUALIFICATIONS:
· Degree: Master's degree in nursing.
· Education:
o Graduate from an academic program, within the nursing specialty field of study that is accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) OR the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
· Certification: Certified in the specialty required by ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
o Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
o American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
o The recognized national nursing certification organization for the specialty area of practice as appropriate (for example, National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Nurses, American Nurses Association, National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Specialties).
· Additional Certifications:
o Possess current certification in Basic Life Saver (BLS) hands on certification through the AHA.
o Possess current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
· Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
· Training: The HCW may be required to complete on-line training attend Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or Deployment Health related classes to meet PDHRA program guidelines
· U.S. Citizenship: HCWs performing under this contract shall be U.S. citizens.
· English Language Requirement: The Contractor shall ensure that all HCWs providing services under this contract are able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate.
· HCW Physical Capability: HCWs shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required.
GENERAL DUTIES:
· Maintain a level of productivity comparable with that of other individuals performing similar services.
· Participate in peer review and performance improvement activities.
· Practice aseptic techniques as necessary. Comply with infection control guidelines to include the proper handling, storage, and disposal of infectious wastes, and the use of universal precautions to prevent the spread of infection.
· Function with an awareness and application of safety procedures.
· Perform efficiently in emergency patient situations following established protocols, remaining calm, informing appropriate persons, and documenting events. Anticipate potential problems/emergencies and make appropriate interventions. Notify supervisor, director, or other designated person regarding problems that the HCW is unable to manage.
· Apply an awareness of legal issues in all aspects of patient care and strive to manage situations in a reduced risk manner.
· Participate in the implementation of the Family Advocacy Program as directed. Participation shall include, but not be limited to, appropriate medical examination, documentation, and reporting.
· Exercise awareness and sensitivity to patient/significant others' rights, as identified within the

· Participate in continuing education to meet own professional growth.
HOURS:
· Services shall normally be provided Monday through Friday between the hours of 0600 and 1800.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS
Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities. Team work skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
